SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) A comprehensive and foolproof security plan has been finalized to ensure peaceful observance of Eid-ul-Fitr congregations and Chand Raat celebrations across the district.

According to police sources, stringent security arrangements have been made for 512 Eid congregations throughout Sargodha as per orders of DPO Muhammad Suhaib Ashraf. More than 2000 police officers and personnel will be deployed to perform duty during Eid days.

The police have assigned specific duties at 499 mosques and 101 Imambargahs to ensure effective monitoring and swift response. Elite Force teams will remain actively engaged in continuous patrolling across the district.

Special security measures have been implemented at sensitive locations, including the installation of walk-through gates, metal detectors, and CCTV cameras to enhance surveillance and public safety.

In addition, 59 pickets have been established across the district to maintain strict checking on Chand Raat, while 12 patrolling Squads will remain on the roads to ensure law and order.

Extra security arrangements have also been made for graveyards, parks, and other sensitive public places to prevent any untoward incident.

The DPO has urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and strictly follow the law. He emphasized that there will be zero tolerance against one-wheeling, aerial firing, and hooliganism, and strict legal action will be taken against violators.
