Police destroy 285kg narcotics under judicial supervision

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Dera Ghazi Khan police destroyed over 285 kilograms of narcotics substances along with a large quantity of liquor in 552 decided cases during a disposal activity conducted under judicial supervision, officials said on Thursday.

The destruction process was carried out under the supervision of Senior Civil Judge Chaudhry Ameer Ahmed and Civil Judge Jawad Zafar, in the presence of DSP Legal Muhammad Asif Rana and Maal-Khana In-charge ASI Allah Nawaz.

According to details, narcotics seized in 398 cases included 249.

676 kg of hashish, 14.363 kg of hemp leaf (Bhang) in four cases; 20.819 kg of heroin in 60 cases and 1104 grams (1.104 kg) of ice (crystal meth) in two cases.

Additionally, 1647 litres of liquor recovered in 88 cases along with 694 bottles and 99 cups was also destroyed in accordance with legal procedures.

DSP Legal Muhammad Asif Rana said operations against narcotics would continue under a zero-tolerance policy, adding that all possible measures were being taken to rid society of drugs.
