Police foil attempt to transport wheat Illegally, seize consignment

DARYA KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) The police foiled an attempt to transport wheat illegally and seized a large quantity of the commodity during an operation carried out by the City Police, the official sources said on Monday.

According to details, a police team led by Station House Officer (SHO), Najibullah Riaz conducted a successful operation and intercepted two loader vehicles carrying wheat.

During routine checking, the police stopped the suspicious vehicles and searched them, leading to the recovery of a substantial quantity of wheat. The wheat-loaded vehicles were taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated.

They said further investigation was underway.
