Police foil wheat smuggling attempt

DARYA KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) The police on Monday seized a tractor trolley loaded with wheat and foiled an alleged smuggling attempt, the officials sources said.

According to the police, the operation was carried out on a tip off by Station House Officer Inspector, Sajjad Khan and his team.

The police said the wheat was being transported illegally from Punjab province to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the raid, the police team took the vehicle into custody and recovered 206 sacks of wheat.

They added that the seized wheat had been handed over to the food department after completing legal formalities, while further action was being taken against the accused.
