LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) A grand golf tournament featuring police players from across the country was held at the Lahore Gymkhana Club, where participants showcased outstanding performance, a Punjab Police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Police golfers from Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Islamabad participated enthusiastically in the tournament, organised under the patronage of DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana.
Players competed in professional and amateur categories, including serving and retired police officers, demonstrating excellent golfing skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Suleman Sultan Rana said that promotion of healthy activities like golf helps enhance the physical and mental capabilities of police officers.
He added that despite being a challenging sport, police players delivered commendable performances and were also excelling in national and inter-provincial competitions.
He said the Punjab Police would continue to extend full support and encouragement to golfers, as part of its broader efforts to promote sports within the force.
Senior police officers, including retired IGs, DIGs and serving officers, attended the event, while male and female golfers from different regions also participated.
At the conclusion of the event, commendation certificates, shields and prizes were distributed among top performers.
