Police honor martyred constable on anniversary

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Multan Police on Saturday paid tribute to martyred Constable Muhammad Imran on his martyrdom anniversary,recognizing his sacrifice in the line of duty.

A guard of honor was presented at the constable’s grave, where police officials offered Fateha and laid floral wreaths.

According to police officials,on May 30,2009, a police team on routine patrol within the jurisdiction of Alpa police station came under attack by armed assailants.

During the exchange of fire,Constable Muhammad Imran sustained a bullet wound to the chest.

Despite being critically injured, he continued to respond bravely before embracing martyrdom.

Officials described the martyred constable as a symbol of courage and devotion to duty,saying he laid down his life in the service of public safety.

City Police Officer (CPO),Sadiq Ali Dogar said martyrs of the police force would always be remembered and honored for their supreme sacrifices.
