Police launch district-wide flag march

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) The police launched a district-wide flag march across Faisalabad to reinforce security

arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

A Police spokesman said on Tuesday that the security exercise was arranged on the directions

of City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain and it covered all major towns of the district.

Town SPs of Lyallpur, Iqbal, Madina, Jaranwala and Sadar divisions led the flag marches in their respective jurisdictions to demonstrate preparedness for maintaining peace and public order during Muharram.

He said the flag march was aimed at ensuring a peaceful environment, deterring anti-social elements and enhancing the sense of security among citizens ahead of Muharram gatherings and mourning processions.
