Police personnel escape unhurt as roof caves in

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) A portion of the roof of a police post in Sultan Colony collapsed on Wednesday though no police personnel were injured in the incident,here on Wednesday.

The police housed in a dilapidated quarter of the Canal Rest House,suffered structural damage when a section of the roof caved in,highlighting concerns over the condition of the decades-old building.

Sources said all personnel present at the post remained safe and no casualty was reported.

Officials said the building was constructed in 1950 and had been in a state of disrepair for a considerable period,raising questions about its structural integrity.

Residents of the area urged the authorities to take immediate notice of the situation and either relocate the police post to a safer premises or carry out urgent repair and reconstruction work to avert any potential mishap.

Further investigation was underway.
