Police ready for best Muharram security

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sillanwali, DSP Faisal Abbas Chadhar, on Thursday said that all security arrangements for Muharram had been completed and effective coordination was in place among police, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure peaceful observance of the month.

Talking to APP here he said a comprehensive security plan had been devised and implemented to maintain law and order across the tehsil during Muharram.

The DSP said that Sillanwali was a peaceful area with a comparatively low crime rate, adding that police remained committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.

He said the police were fully prepared to maintain peace and would take strict legal action against anyone found violating the law.

Responding to reports circulating on social media about alleged explosions caused by explosive-laden pins, Faisal Abbas Chadhar termed the claims as unfounded rumours and fake news. He said no official report regarding any such incident had been received by the police from any part of the country.

He urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and rely on credible and authentic sources for news and updates.

The SDPO also appreciated the role of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) in providing accurate, balanced and reliable information to the public.
