Police seize wheat 700 sack during crackdown against smuggling

BHAKKAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The police on Wednesday seized wheat, 700 sacks in a major drive against smuggling at the Dajal check post.

According to a police spokesperson, the operation was carried out on the orders of the District Police Officer as part of an ongoing crackdown on the illegal transportation of wheat.

During routine checks, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Asim Shehzad intercepted two trucks and conducted a search.

The police recovered 700 sacks of wheat that were being transported illegally from Punjab province to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he added.

The police impounded the vehicles and detained the drivers, identified as Amanullah and Habib Noor.

The legal proceedings had been initiated against the suspects, he added.
