Police in Dera Ismail Khan have successfully solved a blind murder case and arrested the accused along with the weapon used in the crime and a motorcycle, officials said on Friday

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Police in Dera Ismail Khan have successfully solved a blind murder case and arrested the accused along with the weapon used in the crime and a motorcycle, officials said on Friday.

According to a police spokesman , the operation was carried out under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, and supervised by SP City Division Murtaza Khan Bangash and DSP Saddar Circle Kashif Sattar Khan. Station House Officer (SHO) Dera Town, Khalid Javed Lashari, led the raid.

The case pertains to a blind murder reported on February 7, 2026, near Barki Town graveyard on Dera–Daraban Road.

The accused, identified as Zafarullah, son of Sanak Khan and a resident of South Waziristan currently residing in Kotla Habib Bacha, had allegedly killed Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Syedullah, a resident of the same locality, and went into hiding.

Police officials stated that the suspect was traced and apprehended using modern investigative techniques and professional expertise. During the operation, police also recovered a 30-bore pistol believed to have been used in the crime, along with the motorcycle bearing registration number FU-1952.

The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
