RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Abdul Rehman Khan on Tuesday visited sensitive union councils, including Fauji Colony, to review the performance of polio teams during the ongoing anti-polio campaign.
District Health Officer Dr. Hafiz Jawad and other relevant officials accompanied him during the visit.
The ADC checked field activities of polio teams and verified door-to-door administration of polio drops to children. He also interacted with parents and highlighted the importance of vaccination.
He directed polio workers to ensure that no child was left unvaccinated and that every household was covered, particularly in sensitive union councils where 100 percent coverage must be ensured.
He also inspected attendance of teams, micro-planning and record-keeping, issuing necessary instructions for improvement.
Briefing the officials, the district health officer said the campaign was progressing successfully across the district and all available resources were being utilized to reach every child.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating polio and said no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
