Political matters to be resolved within constitutional framework: Faisal Karim Kundi

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, and central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, Qamar Zaman Kaira, have emphasized in recent statements that there was need to resolve political matters within the constitutional framework and promote national unity.

Speaking to the media in Jacobabad after offering condolences on the death of Mir Ijaz Khan Jakhrani’s son, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that political differences should not be addressed through abuse or street tensions, but rather raised with arguments within constitutional forums, particularly institutions like the Council of Common Interests (CCI).

He criticized certain political groups for announcing long marches, stating that such actions appear aimed at gaining political benefits rather than solving public issues.

He further said that there was need to pay full attention to improve law and order situation in the province, and protection of people’s lives and property should be top priority of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

He said there should be no politics over counter-terrorism measures.

On the occasion, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that spreading unverified news circulating on social media is an irresponsible act. He stated that Pakistan is a federation where all provinces generate resources according to their own capacity, but distribution of these resources is carried out according to the needs of the entire country.

He noted that Sindh plays a significant role in gas production, yet these resources are used for the whole country, reflecting the strength of the Federal system. Qamar Zaman Kaira also stressed that the country has a constitution and all matters should be resolved in accordance with it.
