QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Balochistan’s political and social leadership committed to joint measures to address issues related to the health and hygiene of women and girls at the Global Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) Day 2026 ceremony on Wednesday.
Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani said that it is necessary to make MHH a part of the education system to prevent school dropout of girls.
Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch stressed on working beyond political differences for the fundamental rights of women.
While Chairman of the Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting of the National Assembly Pulain Baloch, the joint resolution of all parties in the Balochistan Assembly to abolish tax on MHH products, which was presented in the house by MPA Rehmat Saleh Baloch from the National Party, and its unanimous approval was termed as a significant development.

The book “Hayat Naw” was also launched on the occasion. At the same time, a panel discussion was also held by members of the Balochistan Assembly Khair Jan Baloch, Kulsoom Niaz Baloch, Secretary Abdullah Noorzai, Sikandar Shah and others, including health, education, taxation, youth and media experts in the province, in which various aspects of MHH in Balochistan were reviewed.
