Poppy crop destroyed in Gadoon Amazai

SWABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Swabi Police on Tuesday destroyed poppy crop that was cultivated over a large area in remote mountainous areas of Gadoon Amazai and Narangi.

According to police officials, the operation was carried out on directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Waqas Rafiq.

The operation was supervised by DSP Circle Topi Shakeel Khan and DSP Circle Razar Hassan Khan with the help of heavy police contingent.

The operation targeted various areas including Mangal Chai, Dalori Chini, Ziarat, Gambila, Banjo, Jalil Kandao, Shah Toot Banda, Kolagar, Dheron and Narangi.

Authorities further stated that operation would continue against poppy cultivation while public has been urged to inform and support efforts of police against poppy cultivation.
