Portuguese Minister appreciates Pakistan’s mediation efforts in W Asia

NEW YORK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday met with Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel on the sidelines of UNSC open briefing.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual concern including bilateral relations, regional developments, and cooperation at multilateral forums, including at the UN.

The Portuguese Minister expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s mediation efforts in West Asia. They also exchanged views on the Palestinian issue.

DPM/FM also invited Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel to visit Pakistan, which he warmly accepted.
