PPP constitutes 17-member parliamentary board for AJK General Elections 2026

MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has constituted a 17-member Parliamentary board to finalize the party's candidates for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) General Elections scheduled for July 27, 2026, according to an official announcement issued by the party.

A press release issued by the PPP Chairman's Secretariat on Friday through Political Secretary Jameel Soomro said the Parliamentary Board will meet at Zardari House in Islamabad on June 27 at 2:00 p.m. to interview and evaluate applicants seeking party tickets for the forthcoming AJK elections.

The Parliamentary Board comprises PPP AJK Affairs In-Charge Faryal Talpur, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Muhammad Humayun Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Qamar-uz-Zaman, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Chaudhry Pervaiz Ashraf, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood, Nisar Ahmad Khuhro, Sardar Muhammad Umar Gorjani, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, and Chaudhry Riaz.
