RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that “Marka-e-Haq” has become a shining chapter in Pakistan’s defence history, as the nation celebrated the completion of one year of the operation with enthusiasm and pride. He stated that the Pak Army had thwarted the nefarious designs of the enemy and enhanced the country’s prestige across the world following the victory achieved on May 10.

Addressing a large rally on Marka-e-Haq organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Rawalpindi City chapter at Chandni Chowk here Monday, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying that the entire nation was proud of his courage and leadership. He added that under his command, the armed forces taught the enemy a lesson it would not dare to forget.

The rally which commenced from Liaquat Bagh and passed through Committee Chowk and Murree Road was organized under the supervision of City President Mian Khurram Rasool.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf congratulated the organizers for the successful arrangements.

Senior party leaders who accompanied the former prime minister, included Rana Rafaqat Ali, Ashar Hayat Khan, Malik Khalid Nawaz, Raja Altaf Hussain, Raja Shaukat Abbasi, Raja Ammar Mehdi, Jabbar Satti, Iqbal Khattak, Chaudhry Nasir Qayyum and others.

Hundreds of motorcycles and vehicles carrying national flags and party banners joined in the procession, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Workers chanted slogans in support of Pakistan and the armed forces, including “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad,” while expressing solidarity with the military leadership.

The rally concluded with a public gathering presided over by Mian Khurram Rasool, where Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said the people were celebrating the success of the armed forces and reaffirming their unity with the country’s leadership and defenders.
