PPP Karachi to mark “Maarka-e-Haq” at Nishan-e-Pakistan Park on May 9

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Sindh Minister for Labour, Human Resources and Social Protection, and President of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division, Saeed Ghani, Friday announced that the party will commemorate the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle for Truth) on May 9 with great enthusiasm and fervour.

A large-scale event will be held at Nishan-e-Pakistan Park, located at Sea View in Clifton, on May 9. The ceremony is expected to be attended by the Chief Minister of Sindh, provincial ministers, and prominent figures from various walks of life.

Saeed Ghani made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the PPP Karachi Division. The meeting was attended by Karachi Division General Secretary Rauf Ahmed Nagori; President of the PPP Women’s Wing Karachi Dr Shahida Rehmani, along with district presidents, general secretaries, information secretaries, and other party officials.

Participants discussed in detail the arrangements for organising the grand event at Sea View under the banner of

Marka-e-Haq.

Ghani stated that the PPP is preparing a major gathering on May 9, featuring renowned Pakistani singers, performers, and individuals from diverse sectors.

He further said that across the city, the PPP Karachi Division will display national flags, install panaflex banners, and set up stalls to pay tribute to the outstanding performance of Pakistan’s armed forces against India.

He said from May 7 onwards, reception camps will be established along major roads and in districts across the city under the party’s organisational structure.

He added that the main event will take place in the evening on May 9 and is expected to draw a large public turnout alongside senior PPP leadership, provincial ministers, and the Chief Minister.
