ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Leaders of the Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) held talks with the Ambassador of Lebanon to Pakistan to explore trade and investment opportunities among three countries Pakistan, Romania and Lebanon.
The meeting was focused on improving business cooperation, increasing private-sector partnerships and expanding trade links in sectors including agribusiness, textiles and technology.
The PRBC delegation was led by Sohail Shamim Firpo, Chairman Pakistan Romania Business Council, along with Atif Farooqi, Advisor and Chief Operating Officer of the council.
The delegation met Lebanese Ambassador Abdulaziz Issa to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation and build closer business relations between the three countries. During the meeting, both sides reviewed opportunities for trade facilitation and investment cooperation.
Discussions also focused on increasing business-to-business engagement and encouraging partnerships between companies operating in Pakistan, Romania and Lebanon.
The participants agreed on the need to improve regional connectivity and promote economic activity through stronger cooperation between the private sectors of the three countries. They also exchanged views on creating new opportunities for exporters, investors and business communities.
Speaking on the occasion, Atif Farooqi said the Pakistan Romania Business Council appreciated the role of the Lebanese Embassy in promoting commercial cooperation and supporting business engagement between the countries.

He further said the council aimed to promote stronger economic ties through collaboration between the private sectors and diplomatic missions.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening communication between business communities to increase trade opportunities and investment activities.
Both sides expressed interest in continuing dialogue and exploring future initiatives that could support economic cooperation among the three countries.
The Pakistan Romania Business Council has been working to improve trade and business relations between Pakistan and Romania while also encouraging wider regional partnerships.
The latest meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador reflected ongoing efforts to expand cooperation beyond bilateral engagement and create broader economic connections involving multiple countries.
