LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The Rescue 1122 in collaboration with the district administration conducted the second pre-flood mock exercise in Lodhran on Thursday to assess preparedness and response capabilities for any possible flood emergency during the upcoming monsoon season.
The exercise was held at Chharh canal near the district sports complex.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf attended the event as chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Tayyab, Assistant Commissioner Lodhran Farrukh Ullah Khan, officers of various line departments, Rescue officials and volunteers also participated in the exercise.
As part of the mock exercise, Rescue 1122 established various emergency and relief camps to demonstrate arrangements for providing timely assistance to flood victims.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Camps set up by the Health department, Livestock department, Civil Defence, Agriculture department, Municipal Committee and District Council showcased coordinated relief and rehabilitation measures in case of flooding.
An Emergency Control Room and Information Centre was also established to provide guidance and emergency coordination during any potential flood situation.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf appreciated the professional performance and preparedness of Rescue 1122 and other departments.
