MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) The district administration conducted the third pre-flood mock exercise along the banks of
the river Chenab on Tuesday to assess preparedness for potential flood.
Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh, Usman Tahir Jappa, attended the exercise as the chief guest and reviewed the arrangements made by various departments for dealing with flood-related emergencies.
The mock drill witnessed active participation from Rescue 1122, Police, Health department, Irrigation department, Civil Defence and other relevant agencies. District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh, Engineer Muhammad Ubaid Ullah Khan, supervised the overall arrangements and operational activities during the exercise.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>During the event, participating departments established relief camps and displayed flood rescue equipment, emergency response resources and relief material to demonstrate their readiness for any possible flood situation.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Usman Tahir Jappa, said the objective of the mock exercise was to practically evaluate the preparedness, response capabilities and inter-departmental coordination of all concerned departments.
