Preparations urged to avert monsoon inconvenience

LAHORE:

Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Housing Sultan Tariq Bajwa has directed the water and sanitation authorities to accelerate field operations and ensure timely resolution of public complaints.

Chairing a meeting, he instructed all relevant departments to strengthen preparations for the coming monsoon season to minimise inconvenience to citizens.

The parliamentary secretary said unprecedented welfare and development initiatives had been launched for public facilitation, and the number of beneficiary families was increasing with each passing day.

He also directed the horticulture departments to intensify plantation drives, stating that environmental improvement remained a top goal of the government.

He instructed the development authorities to ensure strict implementation of master plans and take indiscriminate action against illegal construction.

Bajwa also directed the authorities to ensure uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water to citizens.
