President congratulates new CPNE office bearers

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday congratulated newly elected office bearers of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE).

He congratulated the newly elected President of the Council of Newspaper Editors (CPNE) Kazim Khan, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Vice Presidents Shakeel Ahmed Turabi and Anwar Sajidi, Secretary Information Munazza Saham and other office bearers.

He said journalistic values, fact-based reporting and promotion of national interest are the need of the hour.

"Constructive role of media is indispensable for national unity and democratic stability," he added.
