PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Prices of the sacrificial animals remain high in all major markets of provincial metropolis as faithful prepares to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on 27 May.
People who delayed purchase of sacrificial animals in hope to see price drop on last day remain disappointed. However a slight drop was monitored in prices of cattle but it was not according to the expectations of purchasers.
A cattle seller, Abdul Raziq told that number of purchasers were declined at present due to inflation as prices are beyond the range of an ordinary man. He told that the transportation of cows, buffaloes, oxen and larger animals to neighboring country was almost nil but the prices remain high due to increased fares and other miscellaneous charges that are incurred by sellers.
