Private college principal shot, injured near Muzaffarabad

MUZAFFARABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A private college principal was shot and injured near the Gojra area of Muzaffarabad on Thursday, according to police sources cited by television channels.

Initial reports said the incident occurred when the principal was coming out of his office and an unidentified attacker opened fire on him.

As a result, the principal sustained injuries.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured principal to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. Police said the suspect was apprehended from the scene along with the weapon used in the attack.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
