Private schools outperform public sector in Mirpur elementary exam results

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 13th Apr, 2026) The private-sector schools have outperformed their public-sector counterparts in the annual District Elementary board examinations in the district. according to official results released on Monday.

The Pak Kashmir Institute of Computer Sciences was among the top-performing institutions, securing first and second positions in both Class VIII and Class V examinations. The officials said the institute also claimed 18 of the top 20 positions overall.

A student of the institute, Fatima Ghalib, topped the district in the middle (Class VIII) examination, while Fatima Qaiser secured second place in the Primary (Class V) examination.

Several other students from the same institution also featured prominently in the rankings.

In the middle examination, Ibtaj Yasin and Muhammad Ibrahim secured seventh positions, Ayan Ahmed placed twelfth, Muhammad Ali fourteenth, and Iman Fatima Arshad, Taha Sajid and Saim Ahmed Butt shared sixteenth place.

Maira Noor, Sahar Noor and Hania Nadeem were among those placed eighteenth.

In the primary examination, Aiza Faraz secured ninth position, followed by Hamid Raza in eleventh and Noor Fatima in thirteenth. Afra Qamar placed fourteenth, while Rizwa Shoaib and Subhan Masood secured eighteenth and twentieth positions respectively.

The results have drawn praise from local social and educational circles, who congratulated the students, teachers and administration of the institute, expressing hope that the institution would continue its strong academic performance in future.
