Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star in the new Hollywood film Reset, a survival thriller featuring her alongside Orlando Bloom. Filming for the wilderness survival drama will begin in August, with Chopra playing a woman with no money, while Bloom stars as a mysterious stranger. The film will be directed by Matt Smukler, best known for the 2020 drama film Wildflower. The story revolves around Chopra’s character, a woman who wakes up in the middle of the wilderness, days away from civilisation, with no memory of how she got there. Her only chance of survival is to join forces with a charming stranger who may not be who he claims to be. Smukler said the pairing was driven by the actors’ rare ability to project attraction and mistrust simultaneously. “Priyanka and Orlando have this uncanny ability to make you believe both at once. Their chemistry is undeniable,” he said. The film is being produced by Jon and Erich Hoeber under their Fratricidal Films banner. Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures and Bloom’s Amazing Owl are also on board, with Nadine de Barros serving as executive producer. Chopra was last seen in The Bluff, an action-adventure film that also starred Karl Urban. She also appeared alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in Heads of State. Through her production house, Chopra has also produced several acclaimed films, including the Oscar-nominated The White Tiger. She is currently starring in season two of Citadel and will next be seen in Varanasi, as well as an action-adventure project by S. S. Rajamouli.
