Proclaimed offender injured, arrested after shootout with CCD

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) A proclaimed offender on Monday was arrested after being wounded in a police shootout with Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel in the Hazro area, the officials sources said .

According to police, the operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP, CCD, Attock, Yasir Matloob Kiani.

The team including SHO Inspector Syed Imran Haider Kazmi, Moharrar Muhammad Usman Khan and other officials — was patrolling a dirt track near the Ghazi Brotha Canal in village Khagwani, within the limits of Hazro Police Station, when the encounter took place.

They said a group of armed suspects, allegedly involved in multiple serious crimes across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — including motorcycle theft, drug trafficking and other offenses .

The group was reportedly led by Aleemuddin, son of Dost Muhammad, a resident of Matta, Swat, currently living in Zaida, Swabi.

The police said Aleemuddin was a proclaimed offender wanted in at least five cases registered in Hazro and other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They said the suspects opened fire upon spotting the police, triggering a gun battle.

After the exchange, Aleemuddin was found injured and taken into custody.
