Progress on FESCO land transfer,WASA project reviewed

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting to review development projects, revenue affairs and civic amenities across the division.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Sargodha,Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and deputy commissioners of Khushab,Bhakkar and Mianwali attended the meeting via video link,while senior officers from relevant departments were also present.

The commissioner said timely completion of ongoing development projects, in line with the Punjab chief minister’s vision, was the government’s top priority, directing departments to ensure coordination and efficiency.

Officials briefed the meeting on the transfer of government land for FESCO grid stations, stating that the process involving 10 properties in Sargodha and Bhakkar was underway.

A review of the performance of revenue officers under the Revenue Court Management System was also presented, with the commissioner expressing satisfaction over their performance.

The meeting was further informed about progress on village digitization and mass-level partition under the Plus Project.

The commissioner directed the additional deputy commissioner (revenue) to monitor progress on a daily basis and said he would personally review the project every fortnight.

While reviewing development schemes under the Punjab Development Program,officials said a June 30 deadline had been set for completion. The commissioner directed that all projects be completed within the stipulated time-frame to ensure drainage and other facilities ahead of the rainy season.

A detailed briefing was also given on the ongoing mega WASA project in Sargodha city.

The commissioner directed officials to complete work as per standard operating procedures and submit daily progress reports for effective monitoring.

The meeting also reviewed proposals under the annual development program for the next financial year with officials presenting details of various schemes.
