Promotion of sports essential for healthy society: Says Governor

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Thursday said that a healthy society is actually built on physically and mentally healthy people, which is conditional on the promotion of various sports.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation led by President of Japan Karate Association Pakistan (JKAP) Hussain Ali Changezi.

The Governor said that on the one hand, due to the lack of facilities and opportunities, many of our talented players have been left behind, but on the other hand, it is also encouraging that the facilities and opportunities provided by the government are an important factor behind the players in various sports at the national and provincial levels who have become ambassadors of the nation saying that a ray of hope for the youth and a symbol of pride for the country and nation based on their extraordinary performance.

He said that we have seen progress in the field of sports and games at the provincial level, the grounds are improving and funds are being allocated at the district level, due to which I see a bright future for sports in Balochistan.

Mr. Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that sports are not just sports but they are an integral part of life, sports provide us with physical and mental fitness as well as teach us the best discipline which molds us into successful individuals.

The Governor Balochistan expressed happiness over the successful holding of the recent National Karate Camp and Championship in Karachi and congratulated Hussain Ali Changezi and his team for passing the high exam of six dons.
