Protection of citizens' lives, property top priority: SP Sandhu

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Punjab Highway and Patrol Police Sargodha Region Farukh Sohail Sandhu has said that ensuring the safety of citizens, protecting lives and property, and providing assistance to road users are among the foremost responsibilities of the Punjab Highway and Patrol Police.

He expressed these views during an interview on Radio Pakistan Sargodha FM-101's program "Shaheen Sargodha," on Tuesday.

During the discussion, the highlighted the role of the Punjab Highway and Patrol Police in maintaining road safety, assisting travelers, preventing crime on highways, and promoting traffic awareness. He urged motorists to follow traffic rules and adopt safe driving practices to reduce accidents and ensure safer roads for all.

He informed listeners that citizens can contact the Patrol Police Helpline 1124 in case of emergencies or assistance requirements. He also shared details regarding the department's response mechanism and efforts to provide timely services to the public.

The SP discussed several important issues, including over-loading, over-speeding, traffic violations, and road safety measures. He emphasized that overloading poses serious risks to human lives and damages public infrastructure, adding that strict measures are being implemented to curb such practices.

He further assured that any complaint regarding the services of the Patrol Police would be addressed promptly and transparently, as public service and accountability remain key priorities of the department.
