ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) On special directives of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Protectorate of Immigrants Rawalpindi Office has significantly expanded facilities for citizens traveling abroad for employment.
The office, utilizing a modern system, is now issuing Protectors to approximately 1000-1200 applicants daily within a streamlined duration of just 2 to 3 hours. Additionally, a strict ban has been imposed on the entry of tout mafias and unnecessary individuals.
Talking to APP on Tuesday, Director Protectorate of Immigrants Rawalpindi, Farrukh Jamal stated that under the guidance of Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam and DG Bureau of Immigration Javed Zia, the Rawalpindi office, similar to the 11 offices nationwide, is delivering uninterrupted services.
Farrukh Jamal elaborated that senior officers provide a special briefing to every group seeking the Protector. The purpose of this session is to encourage Pakistanis going abroad to avoid the misuse of social media, illegal activities, and crimes. The briefing strongly urges overseas Pakistanis to remit their foreign exchange solely through legal channels (banking channels) to strengthen the national economy.
Explaining the procedure, the Director said that applicants visit the office with a valid passport, visa, and original CNIC. Upon arrival, biometric verification and document verification are initiated immediately.
The data of Protectors issued from this office is promptly shared with the embassies of the respective countries and the FIA to ensure smooth travel processes.
He mentioned that every individual obtaining a Protector is provided life insurance for 5 years under a "Complete Protection Plan".
He highlighted that the Rawalpindi office serves not only local citizens but also applicants from Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Farrukh Jamal appealed to individuals intending to go abroad to process their cases only through "Overseas Employment Promoters" registered on the Bureau of Immigration's website and to mandatory obtain a receipt for every payment.
He emphasized that in case of any breach of contract abroad, affected citizens can lodge complaints on the Bureau's complaint portal, which are redressed on a priority basis.
