Provincial lawmakers review development projects with secretary communications and works

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Feb, 2026) Members of the Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Mir Zabid Ali Reki held an important meeting with Secretary Communications and Works, Babar Khan to review the progress of ongoing development projects in their Constituencies.

The lawmakers discussed the pace and quality of work on roads, public buildings, and other infrastructure projects, emphasizing the need to complete public welfare initiatives within stipulated timeliness to address citizens’ needs without delay.

Secretary Babar Khan briefed the assembly members on the status of development schemes across the province, noting that work is progressing at an accelerated pace, with several projects nearing completion. He assured that technical issues and obstacles are being promptly resolved to prevent delays.

He highlighted that the department remains committed to advancing provincial development, modernizing infrastructure, and prioritizing the construction and rehabilitation of roads, improvement of government buildings, and upgrading communication networks. An effective monitoring system has been established to ensure transparency, quality standards, and timely completion.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the lawmakers appreciated the performance of the Communications and Works Department and expressed optimism that through sustained coordination, development projects would be completed on schedule.

They noted that timely execution would not only improve public service delivery but also contribute significantly to the overall development of Balochistan.
