Provision of relief to people top priority, says CM special assistant

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab for food and Consumer Protection Salma Butt arrived in Kasur and presided over a meeting, in which top district management participated.

Deputy Commissioner Kasur Muhammad Asif Raza, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Murtaza, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Syed Ayub Bukhari, Assistant Commissioner Kasur Ghulam Fatima, SDEO/In-charge Para Force Kasur Ghazanfar Naveed and other concerned officers participated.

Deputy Commissioner Kasur gave a detailed briefing regarding the public relief measures during Ramadan.

On this occasion, Salma Butt appreciated the performance of the district administration and said that according to the vision of the Chief Minister, providing maximum relief to the people during Ramadan is the top priority.

She directed that the best facilities should be provided to the citizens visiting the Ramadan Nigahban markets and steps should be made more effective to control the prices of essential commodities.

Later, Ms. Salma Butt visited the control room, Ramadan Nigahban camp site, Ramadan Nigahban payment centers and Ramadan Nigahban market.
