ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has selected three players to represent the country in the Girls Under-16 Billie Jean King Cup Juniors Pre-Qualifying Event, scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from March 16 to 21.
The selection trials were conducted at the PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad, from February 14 to 15, where six promising girls were invited to compete on the basis of their recent performances and national rankings.
After two days of competitive trials, Hajra Sohail, Zunaisha Noor and Romaisa Malik earned their spots in the national squad for the prestigious international event.
The Billie Jean King Cup Juniors competition provides a valuable platform for emerging young players to showcase their talent at the regional level and gain international exposure.
PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Secretary General Zia-ud-din Tufail congratulated the selected players on their achievement and expressed confidence in their ability to perform well in Colombo. The PTF management extended their best wishes to the team for success in the upcoming event.
The federation reiterated its commitment to promote junior tennis and provide international opportunities to young athletes as part of its broader development programme.
