PTI KP officially nominates Irfan Saleem for vacant Senate seat

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa parliamentary board has officially announced its candidate for the upcoming Senate by-election.

The party has decided to issue the ticket for the vacant seat, previously held by Murad Saeed, to Irfan Saleem.

The decision was made during a meeting of the parliamentary board chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, where various Names were considered before reaching consensus on Irfan Saleem.

To prevent any last-minute issues or disqualification of nomination papers on technical grounds, Sajjad Mehmood, Ghulam Badshah Bhatni, and Sardar Khan have been nominated as covering candidates and instructed to submit their nomination papers.

PTI KP’s General Secretary has issued an official statement detailing the ticket allocation and the nomination of covering candidates for the Senate by-election.
