PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Awami National Party’s Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Sardar Hussain Babak, here Monday said that the ongoing protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become a hassle for the public, and the continuous road blockades have paralyzed people’s daily lives.
He said that protest politics has subjected the people of Pakhtunkhwa to mental stress and severe anxiety, says a press release.
He said that blocking highways in different parts of the province has further increased public difficulties. The working hours of educational institutions are being affected, students are facing problems, and the movement of patients, the elderly, and those in need has been severely disrupted.
He added that people who are already suffering from issues such as terrorism, inflation, and unemployment are being pushed into even greater hardship.
Sardar Hussain Babak said that protesting in different cities of Pakhtunkhwa will not benefit any political leader.
Blocking various highways has made life miserable for ordinary citizens, which cannot be allowed under any circumstances.
For the past thirteen years, he said that non-serious and irresponsible governance has pushed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a swamp of problems.
The development process has slowed down, and the law and order situation is also alarming. In such circumstances, protest politics has only added fuel to the fire.
The people of Pakhtunkhwa are fed up with this irresponsible behavior. Blocking highways and subjecting the province’s citizens to further suffering is not public service in any way, but rather an injustice to them. The government should focus on resolving public issues and ensuring peace and stability instead of pursuing political interests.
