LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali on Wednesday said that the students’ use of technology to develop creative projects on commercial grounds was highly commendable and impressive.
He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a thesis exhibition organized by the university’s Department of Graphic Design.
Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr. Mehboob Hussain, Principal College of Art and Design Prof Dr. Samina Naseem, Chairman Department of Graphic Design Dr. Ahmad Bilal, faculty members and a large number of students attended the event.
The exhibition featured 30 projects developed by MFA students, highlighting innovative ideas for the promotion of local brands. Various projects focusing on social awareness and environmental responsibility were also displayed.
Addressing the participants, Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali said the students had effectively utilized technology and creativity to produce commercially viable projects.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He noted that several graphic design projects prepared by students had already been purchased by companies, reflecting the professional quality of their work.
The vice chancellor said the College of Art and Design was offering professional degree programmes and nearly 100 percent of its graduates succeeded in securing employment after completing their studies.
On the occasion, Dr. Ahmad Bilal said the students had reached the stage of final thesis presentations after a long and challenging academic journey. He said the projects covered a comprehensive range of themes and demonstrated the creative and technical capabilities of the students. He added that the exhibition not only marked the completion of academic degrees but also opened new avenues for the department’s future development.
Dr. Ahmad Bilal further said that the department planned to introduce specialized programmes in Game Design and Film & VFX in line with evolving global industry trends and to further expand its academic curriculum.
