Public service should be performed as an act of worship, DC Astore

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Astore, Neelum Ali has urged the heads of district departments to perform their professional duties with devotion and to prioritise public service.

While addressing an introductory meeting with the heads of various district departments, the Deputy Commissioner stated that all officials are public servants. Therefore, it is essential to adopt public service as their guiding principle.

She emphasized that public trust in government institutions can only be restored when people are provided with real relief and facilities.

She further noted that improving office discipline and performance is the need of the hour.

She expressed her commitment that, through cooperation among all relevant institutions, the Astore district will be put on the path of development and the provision of basic facilities to the public will be ensured.

She said that every officer should fulfil their responsibilities with a sense of duty and play an active role in the betterment of the district.

On this occasion, the heads of various departments assured the Deputy Commissioner of their full cooperation with the district administration and pledged to take all possible steps for the development of Astore.

At the end of the meeting, the department heads congratulated Neelum Ali on her appointment as Deputy Commissioner of Astore and extended their best wishes for her success.
