Punjab Authority distributes Easter bonuses to Christian Workers, cleans 263 Churches

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The Suthra Punjab Authority paid bonuses and advance salaries to Christian workers, while cleaning and washing of 263 churches were underway ahead of Easter.

According to the spokesperson on Thursday, a total of 17,589 Christian workers, including 16,815 sanitary workers, 81 helpers, 600 drivers, 48 technical staff and 45 support staff, received advance salaries along with 5,000 Easter bonuses.

A zero-waste operation was also underway across the city. “A total of 263 churches are being cleaned and washed, while manual sweeping and scraping will be completed in 81 Christian colonies,” the spokesperson added.
