There is no room for sectarianism and extremism in Pakistan. Secretary General “Peace for All” Forum

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Secretary General Forum “Peace for All” Khawaja Rameez Hassan said in a press release that Muharram is the true image of islam, a holy month for the promotion of peace and brotherhood.

He said that there is no room for sectarianism and extremism in Pakistan. At present, the state of Pakistan is working day and night to maintain an atmosphere of peace in the country by implementing the hard state formula.

He said that the Punjab government has made excellent arrangements up to the grassroots level for maintaining good security, establishing public order, and peacefully holding mourning processions during Muharram throughout Pakistan, especially in the province of Punjab, which is not found in the past governments.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif deserves tribute for the excellent arrangements for cleanliness, including providing places for prayers, cold water and beverage stands along the procession routes for the mourners of Imam Hussain (AS).
