PUNJAB: A new scheme in Punjab permits residents to receive marriage certificates via designated e-Khidmat service outlets.
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has begun providing this newly created Marriage Registration Service at fifteen of the Provincial Government’s e-Khidmat service centers situated throughout the province.
The new service aims to streamline the marriage registration process by establishing an alternative, more efficient, and secure method of obtaining a marriage certificate. In this case, there will be no lengthy filing processes or other complications associated with receiving a marriage certificate.
The e-Khidmat service centers are open from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM for those wishing to obtain a marriage certificate.
For more information about this new e-Khidmat marriage certificate service, you can check their official website at https://ekhidmat.punjab.gov.pk/or call the helpline @ 1317.
Applicants will then receive a proofreading printout to review their information. Once the details are confirmed, the applicant must sign the document and return it to the staff. After verification is completed, the union council will issue the marriage certificate.
The digital service is currently available through the NADRA Pak ID mobile application in selected areas, including Chakwal, Nankana Sahib, Quetta, and Karachi East.
