Punjab govt announces scholarships for Balochistan students

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has announced 460 scholarships for intelligent and deserving students of Balochistan province for the academic year 2025-26.

PEEF official sources said, these scholarships will be provided in collaboration with Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF), which aims to provide opportunities for higher education to talented students.

Students who have secured at least 60 percent marks from the Balochistan board in the Matriculation, Intermediate or Technical Education Annual Examinations 2025 will be eligible for the scholarship.

Similarly, students of BS and DAE programs can also apply.

For MS and MPhil programs, a minimum of 2.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks and admission to a public sector university in Balochistan is required.

The applicant must be domiciled in Balochistan and the monthly income of the parents should not exceed Rs.

60,000.

To apply, candidates must submit all the necessary attested documents along with the scholarship form. These include educational certificates, identity documents, domicile, income certificate and passport size photographs.

Applications will be submitted to the BEEF office only through the focal person of the concerned educational institution, while direct or incomplete applications will be rejected.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has, in a statement issued here, welcomed the initiative and said that this will enable Balochistan students to access quality educational institutions in the country. He said that the government is taking serious steps to promote education so that equal opportunities can be provided to every child.
