SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Punjab government has approved reconstruction of four Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospitals in district Sargodha and released funds worth Rs1.25 billion following the continuous efforts and effective coordination of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry.

The Department of Health and Population Welfare Punjab has also issued a formal notification in this regard, said a handout issued here on Thursday.

The approved hospitals include THQ Hospital 90 North, THQ Hospital 46 South, THQ Hospital Bhagtanwala, and THQ Hospital Sahiwal.

According to officials, the DC had taken serious notice of the deteriorating condition of these hospitals, shortage of basic facilities, and difficulties being faced by the public during his field visits. He subsequently recommended the release of special funds to the Punjab government for their reconstruction and upgradation, which led to the approval of the projects.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that improving public healthcare facilities remains the top priority of the district administration and that the upgradation of these hospitals would ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to people at their doorstep.

He also thanked Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Secretary Health and Population Welfare Nadia Saqib for their support and leadership.

The DC said that under the leadership of the Punjab government, practical steps are being taken for public welfare, improvement of the healthcare system, and provision of basic facilities, the positive results of which are now becoming visible.
