LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Chairperson Hina Parvez Butt on Wednesday visited Jinnah Hospital and inquired after a minor domestic worker who was allegedly subjected to gang-rape in Sundar area of Lahore.

She met the affected girl and her family, inquired about the incident and assured them of complete justice and full support from the Punjab government.

She said the provincial government stood with the victim and the case would be personally monitored to ensure justice at all costs.

The chairperson directed the hospital administration to provide the victim with the best possible medical treatment, complete healthcare facilities and psychological support.

Hina said no negligence in the treatment of the girl would be tolerated and all necessary medical facilities should be provided immediately.

The chairperson also directed police authorities to conduct the investigation on merit, with transparency and on modern scientific lines.

She stressed the need for immediate preservation of medical and forensic evidence and directed police to prepare a strong challan against the accused and ensure effective prosecution before the court.

Police have already arrested the suspects while further legal proceedings are under way.

Hina Parvez said sexual violence against women and young girls was an intolerable crime and those involved deserved no leniency. She said the accused would be awarded strict punishment in accordance with the law.
