SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt, paid a surprise visit to the Golo Phala cattle market on Wazirabad Road, where he interacted in detail with traders and citizens and reviewed the arrangements for facilities, security, cleanliness, and sanitation being provided at the market. Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Abbas Zulqarnain, relevant officials, and representatives of various departments also accompanied him during the visit.
The provincial minister said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, providing the public with the best cleanliness and sanitation facilities during Eid-ul-Azha is among the top priorities of the Punjab Government. He stated that the Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) would perform duties during Eid-ul-Azha with full capacity, resources, and manpower, while officers and staff of all relevant departments would also assist in ensuring a clean and healthy environment for citizens.
He further said that all essential facilities have been ensured at cattle markets for traders and buyers, including security arrangements, washrooms, clean drinking water, shaded areas, water pumps, proper lighting, livestock services, health department services, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, traffic management, parking, and sanitation facilities, so that citizens do not face any inconvenience.
Expressing satisfaction over the arrangements, the minister directed the concerned departments to utilize all available resources to provide maximum facilities to citizens and maintain high standards of cleanliness during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

Traders expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided in the market and appreciated the effective arrangements made by the administration regarding security, water supply, cleanliness, and other basic amenities.
ADC Revenue Abbas Zulqarnain informed that the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals at Akbarabad and Goloo Phala cattle markets were continuing in full swing, with most animals already sold. He added that traders were receiving reasonable and profitable prices for their animals. He appealed to traders to sell animals only at designated cattle markets to help ensure better facilities for citizens.
Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Zubair Wattoo stated that the district administration and Municipal Corporation were continuing a strict crackdown against illegal sacrificial animal sale points. He informed that 15 illegal sale points had so far been removed, while violators had collectively been fined Rs20,000. He said that selling animals at unauthorized locations affects traffic flow and creates sanitation problems; therefore, indiscriminate action against illegal sale points would continue throughout the three days of Eid.
