Punjab LG Secretary reviews Eid-ul-Azha arrangements,development projects in Bhalwal

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Secretary Local Government Punjab Shakeel Ahmed Mian on Tuesday visited Bhalwal to review arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha and inspect ongoing development projects under the Punjab Development Program (PDP).

Accompanied by Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, the secretary inspected a temporary cattle sale point where he interacted with traders and buyers regarding security and cleanliness arrangements.

The deputy commissioner informed the secretary that 10 temporary cattle sale points had been established across the district, with free facilities being provided to the public.

Later, the secretary visited a mega sewerage and rainwater storage project in Bhalwal, where the project director briefed him on the progress and expected completion timeline of the remaining work.

Shakeel Ahmed directed officials to complete the project within the stipulated period, emphasizing that negligence or delays in public welfare schemes would not be tolerated.

During a visit to the Suthra Punjab Authority camp site, he instructed officers to ensure the availability of cold drinking water, medical facilities, and safety equipment for field workers amid the ongoing heatwave.

He also distributed waste collection bags among citizens and urged them to cooperate with the district administration in the proper disposal of animal waste during the upcoming religious festival.
