In her message issued on Tuesday, the minister conveyed best wishes to President Ibad-ul-Haq, Senior Vice President Yousaf Shah, Vice President Munir Ahmad Bajwa, Secretary Shakeel Saeed, Vice President (District Courts) Naeem Malik, Finance Secretary Jamal-ud-Din Jamali, Information Secretary Affan Riaz, and Head of Digital Media Ijlal Haider Zaidi, expressing confidence in their ability to serve effectively.
Appreciating the role of court reporters, Azma Bokhari said that conveying judicial proceedings to the public with accuracy is a highly responsible duty, which they are performing commendably.
She noted that court reporting is more challenging and sensitive than many other fields of journalism, as it involves navigating legal complexities while maintaining factual precision.
“Journalists who continue court reporting in the field despite extreme weather and challenging conditions truly deserve appreciation,” she remarked.
The minister expressed hope that the newly elected body would uphold journalistic ethics, work for the welfare of the journalist community, and contribute to improving the standards of court reporting.
She also assured full support from the Information Department and offered prayers for their success.
