Punjab Ombudsperson calls on Governor KPK

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Provincial Ombudsperson for Punjab, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, met with the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, along with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ombudsperson, Barrister Rabab Mehdi.

During the meeting, the participants discussed measures to ensure protection for women against harassment, promote a safe and dignified working environment, strengthen institutional cooperation, and review the performance of the Ombudsperson institutions in both provinces.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi underscored the importance of providing a safe environment for women and maintaining an effective system to combat harassment.

He stated that it is the state's responsibility to ensure equal opportunities for women to perform their duties in every sector without fear or intimidation.
